Mercedes-Benz has brought its high-performance two-door sports car back to India with the launch of the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro. Priced at Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.65 crore (ex-showroom) respectively, both models are now open for bookings from 27 June 2025. Deliveries are expected to begin in December 2025 for the GT 63 and January 2026 for the GT 63 Pro.
This marks the return of the AMG GT nameplate to India after nearly three years, and it now arrives with more power, updated styling, and added practicality.
AMG GT 63
The standard AMG GT 63 has seen major upgrades in its latest form. It’s now both wider and longer, offering more presence on the road and enhanced practicality. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a 2+2 seating layout, previously only seen in the four-door GT version. This brings added usability to what is still very much a performance-focused coupe.
Under the hood is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 585bhp and 800Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. Notably, the system has a rear-wheel bias, keeping the drive engaging and performance-focused.
Acceleration from 0 to 100kmph takes just 3.3 seconds, and the car can hit a top speed of 315kmph, putting it ahead of the previous AMG GT R in terms of outright performance.
Design tweaks include a reworked rear spoiler, updated headlamp clusters, and fresh wheel designs. Inside, the cabin features a familiar vertical infotainment screen, AMG-specific steering wheel, and premium finishes throughout. Carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard, door trims, and centre console underscore its sporty intent.
AMG GT 63 Pro
For buyers who want something even more hardcore, Mercedes has launched the AMG GT 63 Pro. This model builds on the GT 63’s foundation with higher performance and additional aerodynamic upgrades.
The same 4.0-litre V8 engine is tuned to produce 612bhp and 850Nm of torque. These improvements enhance acceleration and top-end performance while retaining all the premium features of the standard model.
The GT 63 Pro also comes with larger alloy wheels, upgraded brakes for better stopping power, and more aggressive aerodynamic parts to increase downforce and cooling efficiency. Visually, the car looks sharper with exclusive paint options and racing-inspired design touches.
Motorsport Collector’s Edition
Adding another layer of exclusivity, Mercedes has introduced a Motorsport Collector’s Edition of the AMG GT 63 Pro. While mechanically identical to the Pro version, this limited-edition model gets a bespoke interior and exterior treatment inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team.
This includes race-inspired paintwork, special badging, and an interior layout that pays tribute to Mercedes’ motorsport DNA. This edition will be available in very limited numbers in India.

Booking and Availability
Bookings for both models are now open through authorised Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The GT 63 will be delivered starting December 2025, while the more exclusive GT 63 Pro will begin reaching customers from January 2026.
