Kia India has wrapped up the financial year 2024-25 on a strong note, recording impressive growth both on a monthly and annual basis. In March 2025 alone, the carmaker sold 25,525 units in the domestic market. That’s a solid 19.3 percent year-on-year jump compared to the 21,400 units sold in the same month last year.

And that’s not all. The company ended the fiscal year with total domestic sales of 2.55 lakh units, up 4 percent from the 2.45 lakh units sold during FY23-24. On the export front, Kia also shipped out 26,892 units during the financial year, reinforcing its presence in global markets.

Sales

March 2025 turned out to be one of the strongest months for Kia, showing nearly 20 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The surge in sales was largely powered by strong demand for its compact and mid-size SUV lineup, which continues to drive the brand’s momentum in India.

Performance

In terms of individual model contributions, the Sonet compact SUV emerged as Kia’s best-selling model for the year, accounting for 30 percent of total domestic sales. This was followed by the Seltos at 26 percent, Carens at 22 percent, and the newcomer Syros, which made up a notable 20 percent despite only launching in February 2025.

What’s impressive is the Syros alone sold 15,986 units within just two months of launch. Positioned as a youthful, feature-rich offering starting at Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom), it seems to have struck the right chord with Indian buyers. Statement

Commenting on the performance, Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice-President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said that the numbers reflect strong customer trust and satisfaction. He credited the brand’s innovation, quality, and customer-centric focus for the positive trajectory.

He also highlighted the quick success of the Syros as a validation of Kia’s market instincts and ability to meet shifting consumer demands. With more products and updates on the way, Kia seems geared to continue its upward journey in the Indian auto space.

Kia India’s strategy of blending youthful design, loaded features, and solid after-sales service seems to be paying off, and FY25 could bring even more excitement as the company expands its portfolio further.
